pamphlet - describing Mr. Minton's memories of working at RGD, Bridgnorth. The Radio and Gramaphone Development Co. - Mr Minton worked there for several years 1946 - 1952. The RGD radio was either 1046 or 746 version, but there were a number of designs. (source 'Shropshire Star' article). It was an automatic record changer and had a very good tuning range. The tuning was incorporated by the military and used by NATO forces. It was a rich mans toy. It had 10 valves, was made in 1946, which is where 1046 came from. For someone like me buying (the television) would have cost more than a years wages at 200.
