postcard - black and white - Bridgnorth Infirmary. Foundation stone was laid on 24th April 1895 and the infirmary opened on 17th September, 1896. The picture seems to pre-date a photograph ascribed by Farlow and Trumper to circa 1925 in 'Around Bridgnorth' when an extra structure had been added, far left. It was opened by Viscount Boyne. Paid for by public subscription. It provided 18 beds at the date of opening. Published by Wildings, Shrewsbury, could be No. 2297?. Wilding postcards available from 1903 onwards until mid 1930's.
