list of names - A4 sheet of paper listing Bridgnorth Bowling Club Members 1906 on one side - on reverse list of Bridgnorth Cycling Club Members 1889. - Note: Bowling Club Sabrina Bungalow, Bylet, built 1901 by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Thorneycroft. Opened 3rd August 1901. April 1903 Town Council discussed it and 6th June 1903 auction of the contents and the bungalow announced. 27th June the bungalow sold for �50 to Mr.F.Barnard of North Wales. According to the Bridgnorth Journal there was also a tennis club on the Bylet (25/6/1982 issue). Thomas Thorneycroft (1823-1902) Census records show that he was born in Willenhall. He was deputy Lieutenant for Staffordshire, a JP, Lieutenant Colonel Queen's Own Yeomanry Cavalry - retired from service, a retired Ironman. He lived at The Towers, Tettenhall Wood Road, Wolverhampton.
